About MBA Guide

An independent, plain-English guide to choosing an MBA in Australia.

MBA Guide helps people decide whether an MBA is right for them, and which kind. We explain how Australian programs work, what they ask of you and how to compare them, and we link to the official source for every rule, limit and figure.

The story of this domain

From the early 2010s, mbaguide.com.au was a directory of Australian MBA programs, with menus for every state, city, study mode and specialisation. Directories like that date quickly, and the old site eventually went offline. MBA Guide was relaunched on the domain in 2026 as a set of in-depth, independently written guides. Every page has been rewritten from current sources. Old links redirect to the most relevant new guide.

How we research

We use primary and authoritative sources: the Australian Government's Study Assist site, the Australian Taxation Office, the Department of Home Affairs, TEQSA, the Australian Qualifications Framework, GMAC and the business schools' own websites. Each guide lists its sources and the date it was last updated.

We do not invent quotes, statistics, fees, rankings or reviews. Course fees and ranking positions change every year, so we explain how to find the current official figures instead of publishing tables that would go out of date.

What we are not

We are not a university, an education agent or a government website, and we are not affiliated with any business school named on the site. Nothing on this site is financial, tax, migration or career advice. Always confirm details with the institution, and get professional advice about tax and visas.

How we are funded

Nobody can pay to change our guides. If a page carries a lead form, affiliate link, ad or paid listing, it is clearly labelled, and our editorial policy explains how we make money.
