The MBA (Health) is for senior managers in the healthcare sector facing the challenges of high occupational risk, rapid technological change, tight budgets and the ongoing impacts of health reform. This course is delivered in intensive mode (meaning you’ll be studying on Friday evenings and weekends) as well as online, so that the study won’t affect your work schedule.

This MBA has two nested awards: the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Health), which introduces students to:

Accounting for Decision Making
Organisational Dynamics
Social Marketing
Quality in Health Care.
as well as the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Health), which has more advanced units (subjects) in:

Health Care Governance
Planning and Resource Management.
To complete the MBA (Health), students also study:

Behavioural Health Economics
Health Informatics
Occupational Health Risk Management
Strategic Management for Sustainability.
Participants work in peer groups on real life projects to give valuable practical experience.

The MBA (Health) can also be offered as a customised program for individual organisations in conjunction with our Centre of Professional and Executive Education, ACU Corporate. Delivering the program in this way means content can be customised to reflect the unique challenges facing that particular organisation.

Entry Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:
Bachelor degree or AQF qualification level 7 or above in any discipline; and
At least 3 years managerial and/or professional experience
In special circumstances, applicants who do not meet any of the above requirements but who have a sound and sufficient basis for application can apply directly to the Course Coordinator. Applicants must provide a protfolio demonstrating that their knowledge, experience and skills are such that they are lidely to succeed in the program.
