Program Overview:  If you are an experienced professional, our MBA will advance your core executive capabilities and provide opportunities for increasing thought leadership in your chosen specialisation. Continually reviewed in close consultation with business and government, the MBA program equips graduates to manage emerging issues and industries. Students can choose to study at either the South Bank (Brisbane) or Gold Coast campus of Griffith University on a part-time or full-time basis.

The core program is offered in weekend and early evening modes to accommodate both part and full-time students.

Total Units:  8 core, 4 elective.
Core Units:  economics, accounting, finance, marketing, strategic management, people management, leadership, and data analysis.
Assessment Method:  Projects, Assignments, Case studies, Examinations.
Entry Requirements:  To be eligible for admission to the MBA program, candidates must:
- hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University or other tertiary education institution of equivalent standing and have achieved the equivalent of a minimum Grade Point Average of 4.5 (using a 7.0 point scale) AND have a minimum of 3 years work experience post degree including 2 years equivalent full-time work experience in a management or supervisory level in a business environment;
-hold a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Griffith University with a minimum GPA of 4.0.

Credit Past Study:  Griffith University awards credit for prior learning. Credit of up to 40CP (or 4 courses) may be awarded to eligible candidates. For more information on credit transfer please refer to the University’s Credit Transfer Policy available at
Commencement Dates:  Semester 1 (February), Semester 2 (July)
Completion Time Comments:  1.5 years for full-time

Who is program designed for:  The MBA is designed to provide graduates from any discipline with relevant managerial experience with a general understanding of business administration within the changing social, political and economic context. The flexibility of the program allows students to pursue specific areas of functional or sectoral interest, or to opt to undertake a supervised research dissertation culminating in the award of MBA (Honours).
