| | | Program Overview: | The MBA is designed to provide students with a range of analytical, strategic, cross-cultural and leadership skills, and is taught using a variety of learning and assessment strategies. The program offers a grounding in fundamental business areas such as accounting, finance, human resource management and industrial relations, economics, marketing, law and management. Analytic and problem solving skills are emphasised through an understanding of the theoretical framework within which today's managers must operate as well as the acquisition of practical skills in economics, quantitative methods, information management and strategic planning. One course must be chosen from each of the six compulsory disciplines. | | Entry Requirements: | Applicants must have a Bachelor degree from an approved institution and two years work experience, or a recognised Diploma from an approved institution and five years work experience, or a recognised Graduate Certificate from an approved institution. The program in which a student enrols is largely determined on the basis of qualifications and experience. Students with substantial work experience but who lack formal qualifications will probably enter at Graduate Certificate level. Students with relevant experience and a first degree will most likely enrol directly into the MBA program. Students who enter at the Graduate Certificate level may, on completion of their program, proceed to the next award level with full credit for work completed at the lower level. Progression from the Graduate Certificate to the MBA is only available to students who achieve a Grade Point Average of 4.0 (a Pass grade) or greater.
