| | | Program Overview: | The Swinburne MBA not only offers the opportunity to acquire contemporary management knowledge and skills, it also provides students with the ability to apply that knowledge in an innovative, creative and entrepreneurial way.
The Swinburne MBA's overarching themes of entrepreneurship, innovation and international business address the transitional realities of moving from the old to the new economy in four key areas: Leadership, Strategy, eBusiness, and Finance.

AGSE attracts highly motivated part-time candidates with at least two years of full-time, post-university work experience.
Work experience is preferred, however, outstanding full-time candidates with an appropriate undergraduate degree may be admitted with less than two years work experience.
Part-time candidates who do not hold an appropriate qualification but who have significant relevant work experience (normally five years or more) and evidence of academic capability may initially be admitted to the Graduate Certificate (Stage 1). Their progression to enrolment in the Masters will require satisfactory completion of Stage 1.
Students whose first language is not English will need to provide evidence of advanced proficiency in written and spoken English by: an academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Score of 6.5 with no single band less than 6.0. Applicants with lower scores may undertake additional English studies (ELICOS) at Swinburne University in order to meet the entry requirements. | | Credit Past Study: | AGSE is committed to the principles of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The philosophy of 'Learning Through Experience' recognises that learning takes place through a variety of means including formal studies at universities, other accredited institutions and private providers, employer-based training and development, and relevant experience gained within the workforce. Undergraduate subjects are ineligible as a basis for subject exemptions, however students with a major sequence of study in a relevant discipline will have the option of completing an additional elective as a substitution. Applications for RPL should accompany the enrolment application. International students should bring certified copies of documentation supporting any claim for exemption. | | Commencement Dates: | March, July, November. | | Completion Time Comments: | 13 months full-time; 24-to 32 months part-time.
