Program Overview: The MBA program is conducted by the Victoria Graduate School of Business (VGSB). The main campus of the VGSB is at 300 Flinders Street Melbourne in the heart of Melbourne’s central business district. The MBA program is also conducted by the VGSB in Beijing, Singapore and Dhaka. The MBA is intended to provide a generic business education for those interested in management from business and non-business disciplines. It is expected that all students will have relevant work experience, which is necessary for full participation in the program. Students complete a core of subjects covering the business and management disciplines and many students also choose to complete a specialisation in a particular business discipline.

Core Units: economics for management, quantitative analysis, law for management, management information systems, accounting for management, marketing management, work and organisation systems, employee relations strategies, operations management, corporate finance, managing innovation and entrepreneurship, strategic management and business policy
Elective Units: as well as taking a minimum of 8 core subjects, students may elect to take a series of non-core subjects from a wide range of options covering every specialisation and / or a thesis or project.
Assessment Method: Method of assessment depends on the particular course/subject being undertaken
Entry Requirements: In order to be considered for admission to the course, an applicant must have successfully completed an approved undergraduate degree and have a minimum of two years appropriate work experience (or equivalent).
In addition, international students must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language. Evidence of English proficiency usually involves a test score such as: IELTS - an overall band score of 6.5+, subject to individual profile;
Overseas applicants who have completed their first degree in English or have English as their first language will be exempt from the above requirement.
Commencement Dates: Semester
Completion Time Comments: Melbourne: the program is a full-time course of three semesters duration (or part-time equivalent) and it is possible to complete the course within 12 months, depending on the availability of the required subjects.
First Semester - March to June
Second Semester - July to November
Third Semester - December to February

Beijing: the program takes 18 months full time (or part time equivalent)
First Semester - March to June
Second Semester - September to January

Singapore and Dhaka: it is possible to complete the program in 4 semesters (approximately 16 months) depending on the availability of the required subjects.
First Semester - February to May
Second Semester - June to September
Third Semester - October to January

It is possible to commence the program at the beginning of any semester subject to the availability of the required subjects
Application Deadline: 6 weeks prior to semester for Australian students, 3 months prior to semester for international student
