Description

The course is designed to develop the key attributes and skills required by senior and middle managers in a range of areas: commerce and industry, public sector and professional accounting. The graduate can choose to study a particular area or areas of business, combined with a period of approved professional practice experience and/or research, providing the graduate the opportunity to test their theoretical understanding against the reality of the workplace. Students who do not complete the full course may qualify for an early exit award: Graduate Certificate of Business Administration if they have successfully completed 4 units (40cps); or Graduate Diploma of Business Administration if they have successfully completed 8 units (80 cps).

Course transfer into the Master of Business Administration (Professional Practice) will not be permitted at CDU Sydney in 2013. Students who wish to transfer may follow the application process but need to be aware the Professional Practice units will not be introduced until 2015.

Professional Practice placements are limited and may not be available in every state and territory. Students are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements and meeting all associated costs. Students wishing to undertake Professional Practice units should first undertake a preliminary interview with the Head of School.

Entry Requirements
• The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) receives and processes applications for admission for Charles Darwin University Higher Education prospective students.
• Successful completion of a recognised bachelor's degree or the Graduate Certificate and/or Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.
• Non-graduates will be considered for admission on the basis of such criteria as professional qualifications with supporting evidence of significant accomplishment at work. Such applicants will be contacted to supply a detailed curriculum vitae.
